报告题目：Stress-induced biosynthesis of volatile compounds in tea leaves and rose flowers
Naoharu Watanabe obtained his PhD in Bio-organic chemistry from the University of Tokyo in 1980. From 1980 to 1989, he worked as a researcher at a pharmaceutical company of Japan. In 1990, he moved to work as Professor at Shizuoka University. Till now, he works at Shizuoka University. From 2017, he is the Guest Professor at Zhejiang University, China. From 2019, he is Guest Professor at The Open University of Japan. His major research is bio-organic chemistry on plant secondary metabolites, and current research topics are biosynthesis of aroma in tea leaves and rose flowers, flower-induction by drought stress in aquatic plants.
